Tournament Info All Tournaments this season will be one-day, three-round competitions beginning at 11 a.m. Each round will have a 2 1/2 hour time limit. "Miss Next Game" results will be waived between each round (and after the last round) of the tournament, but all other results stand. Players earn SPP as normal, and at the end of each match teams will earn normal winnings plus 10,000 gp. Spring Madness Tournament: April 4th It's Spring and Madness is in the air! The match-ups for each round will be randomized (no two teams play each other more than once). All inducements are legal, AND teams will get an extra 150,000 gp each round to spend only on Special Play cards. The winner will receive the coveted Chaos Goblet...
Something is wrong with the weather... Match-ups each round will be Swiss-Style, with the first round decided by Team Value multiplied by Win-Loss ratio. (i.e. a team with TV of 300,000 that has a 5-5 record will have a tournament value of 150,000.) There will be special weather tables for each round! All inducements are allowed. The winner will receive the mysterious Weather Stick...
To be held in the enormous Siefieciti Festival Caverns, this year's DungeonBowl tournament will be a welcome relief to teams and spectators alike as it features perfect BloodBowl weather all the time! (Note: All games will be played on normal pitches - the Caverns are just that big!) The DungeonBowl will be a Swiss-style tournament, with the first round match-ups decided as in the Mayday! Mayday! Tournament. All inducements are allowed in the first two rounds. However, in the third round, EVERYONE who doesn't have to play will be watching the final match - no Star Player inducements allowed in the third round. The winner will recieve the the coveted DungeonBowl Trophy, sponsored by the Ten Colleges of Magic. Also at the end of the DungeonBowl, the Most Valuable Player of the Season award (most SPPs), the Most Dangerous Player of the Season award (most fan casualties), and the Foulest Player of the Season award (most casualties via fouls) will all be awarded. (Note that these totals all start at zero for Season II! We'll get into lifetime awards later...) |
